In MLA style, when you reference other in your paragraph, that is known as parenthetical citation. After the quote or paraphrase, you place relevant source information in parentheses.

For Example, here the author's name is mentioned:

Kwon points out that the Fourth Amendment does not give employees any protections from employers’ “unreasonable searches and seizures” (6).
